FRIDAY 1st FEBRUARY
 
8pm : Hugh Lupton & Nick Hennessey
an evening of performance storytelling,
music and song featuring 'The Liberty Tree'
tales of lawlessness and liberty
from Tom Paine & the English Radicals to Robin Hood
*tickets £5   doors open 7.30pm   licensed bar   recommended age 12+

 
 
 
SATURDAY 2nd FEBRUARY
 
10am : Mask Making Workshop
with The Theatre of the Small
make and decorate a mask
to wear for the Fools Lantern Parade
free   no need to book   
young children must be accompanied by an adult
 
 

3pm : Raventales present 'Beowulf'
storytelling with shadows and song
a dramatic retelling of the early English poem and heroic tale
*tickets £3   recommended age 9+
 
 
 

from 6.30pm : Fools Lantern Parade
masked lantern-bearers & musicians accompany the King of Fools through the town
procession leaves the Quayside, Sandwich at 6.30pm
join in, wear a mask and bring a torch
 
the procession arrives at the GUILDHALL and the folly begins...

followed by stories from TONY COOPER
and DAVID TONGE of PAST IMAGINED in the hall

Willow Lantern Workshop hosted by TABAC
Sandwich Technology School   10am - 4pm   come along and join in
 
SATURDAY 26th JANUARY
 
Mask Making Workshop hosted by SMALL BEGINNINGS
drop in and make a mask to take home at the following venues:
The Phoenix Centre, Jubilee Road, Sandwich  11am - 12noon
Lower Hardres & Nackington Villlage Hall, Street End, Nr Canterbuy   4-5pm
 
 
both workshops are free - no need to book - young children must be accompanied by an adult

advance tickets for shows available
 
in person - from The Sandwich Bookshop, 60 King Street, Sandwich
 
by post - send a list of tickets required, a cheque for the full amount payable to 'Small Beginnings', and a stamped, self addressed envelope to: Small Beginnings, 47 Dover Road, Sandwich CT!3 0BX
 
remaining tickets will be available on the door before the shows
